Selling Your Fine Art Prints

Paul Marcellini is a highly successful landscape photographer based out of South Florida who makes a living selling both limited and open edition fine art prints. We have known Paul for years and have traveled with him on many occasions. On our last trip to Florida, we had a chance to interview Paul in the Everglades. He provided us with a wealth of information about how he goes about selling his fine art prints.

Here are some key take-aways from our interview:

  • Local prints sell. This is why Paul concentrates his efforts on capturing fantastic images from the Florida Everglades.
  • Don’t let your low-cost product compete with your high-cost offering. For this reason, Paul does not offer 8×10 prints at the art shows he visits.

Braving mosquitoes, horseflies, snakes, alligators, and constant heat, I set out into the unknown, alone, in search of the unspoiled scenes of Wild Florida. I hope my images share a fraction of the beauty Florida has to offer. I have won awards, been published internationally, and done all the other stuff photographers say to pat themselves on the back. What matters to me though, is that I produce images people want in their homes. If you have any questions about natural Florida, my prints, or a tour, feel free to ask!
