Have you ever looked at an old processed photo and thought to yourself, “What the heck was I thinking when I processed this?”
That’s what I thought when I dug up this old image from my archives. I took few minutes to reprocess this shot from Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming – and now, I think it looks much better. The sky was just spectacular… I just wish my skills were a bit better at the time. ;)
This is a single exposure photo taken using a soft 3-stop Graduated Neutral Density Filter. I chose this spot because from here, the small pond in the foreground reflected the brilliant colors in the sky. Even with the GND filters, the highlights just over the horizon needed some post-production targeted adjustment to restore the details.
